Tophia Slydell, commonly known mononymously as simply Tophia or her TikTok handle, Tophiachu, is a self-proclaimed "influencer" and internet lolcow who gained notoriety on TikTok due to her frequent controversies and oversharing of her bizarre life. Internet users had begun to follow Tophia and the strange antics of her family after she gained reasonable attention for her actions, which include but are not limited to allegations of elder abuse, misconduct, and racism.

Biography

Tophia Slydell is a 30-year-old unemployed woman who lives with her parents. She became infamous on TikTok for her long lives where she overshares her life, her strange family, her bizarre videos, and her living situation. Since her and her family do not have jobs, (the only exception being Brotherchu) they're not financially stable, and are constantly stressed about rent. They have been evicted by their landlord after allegedly squatting for months. Tophia is known for her bad financial decisions, such as constantly ordering DoorDash, along with spending $500 on a comic-con ticket instead of saving the money for rent (she has done this twice). She often gets in verbal disputes with her mother on live, sometimes even assaulting her, being generally very hostile towards her family. Tophia is noted for her incredibly delusional personality, often pretending that she has anything at all when she is in reality homeless and living out of apartments, and occasionally accusing people of being “jealous” of her despite her undesirable life and supposedly being so miserable that she’d attempt and threaten suicide. Tophia is known to constantly dig herself into a deeper hole, as she will virtually never admit any faults on her end and will certainly never try to improve her situation. She will attempt to delude herself into believing she is happy with her life, when in reality she is clearly not.

Tophia is also known to be very unlikeable, not only towards her family, but to those who participate in her livestreams. Many people had begun to dislike Tophia for her frequent e-begging, her refusal to get a job, her general arrogance, and habitual lying. During her livestreams, she has a tendency to go on long, self-righteous tangents that never include her being in the wrong. She typically personally attacks individuals in her chats who try to debate her. She is often rude to smaller creators for minor offenses or for no apparent reason. She is very impertinent and callous, shamelessly making fun of random people’s dead relatives for things such as asking her to get a job (but god forbid you make fun of her dead grandmother, she might actually have an issue with it then).

Tophia has also shown racist and insensitive behavior, particularly towards people of Mexican ancestry. She also displays colorist attitudes, proclaiming that she "doesn't consider herself a 'burnt' color," in reference to skin tone. Tophia claims to be of mixed African-American race, and uses her race card in every argument.

Attempts to vandalize the fandom wiki

On January 5th 2024 an IP (172.59.1.189) has vandalized this page and the Chu crew discord page on the fandom wiki. We can assume that this is Tophia because the IP leads back to Albuquerque, New Mexico, which is where Tophia lives. Her edits consisted of blanking this page (which were reverted by SOAP bot) and falsely accusing the discord of throwing slurs and that minors were groomed there. Tophia later admitted to this on a TikTok livestream.

Eviction

Tophia was evicted from her apartment on February 25, 2023. Tophia blames the eviction on the internet, the discord, her family members, and absolutely anything but herself. In reality, there are many factors contributing to the eviction of the Slydells; for example: Donald lighting fires in the apartment, general filthiness, complaints by neighbors, property damage, unwanted guests showing up to the apartment, and most prominently unpaid, overdue rent costs.

As of recent, Tophia has a tendency to constantly use a background greenscreen during her livestreams. This is in attempts to obscure her current living situation. Due to Tophia's refusal to get a real job, it can be easily guessed that she and her family frequent the local homeless shelter.

Trivia

• Mamachu has stated that Tophia's name was inspired by her stepsister Sophia.
• Tophia has claimed to have a 7th grade reading level and a learning disability. However, mamachu claims that Tophia has no such disability.
• Tophia has a unique and personally identifiable vocabulary. For example, she has a habit of incorrectly saying “deformation” instead of “defamation.” Her manner of speech is also definitely notable. This further supports the theory that the IP address vandalizing this page above, with regard to the notes left, belongs to none other than Tophia herself.
• Tophia formerly had a job at Dunkin' Donuts but was fired due to poor personal hygiene.
• Her former apartment was swatted twice.
• Tophia and Mamachu have been caught using slurs on live. This has happened on numerous occasions.
• Tophia once tried to overdose on Advil.
• Tophia said a racist slur against Mexicans on live, ⁣ then attempted to justify it by saying that Mexican wasn't a race.
• Tophia claims herself to be Hispanic and black, however this is disputed due to her questionable parentage.
• She is terrible at Fortnite and is unable to kill bots.
• Tophia has a fond love for Mountain Dew and Mountain Dew associated beverage products.
• According to Angie, Tophia smells like “B.O and piss”.
• The police have been called on her family numerous times, and for many reasons. One time, a SWAT team had broken through their window and dispensed tear gas inside in an attempt to remove Papachu from the premises.
• Prior to being evicted, she lived in the Villas Esperanza apartment complex with her entire family. As of December 20th 2023, the Slydell family is currently unhoused and hopping from motel to motel.
• Tophia's livestreams often start at about 9pm (likely Mountain Daylight Time in NM) then go on until sunrise.
• She has a page on the Floptok wiki
• Tophia is strongly believed to be lying about her height by people who have met her in real life. These people tend to place her at closer to 5’5 then her alleged height of 5’3.
