On April 24 of 2020, Tophia posted a “girlfriend application” to her instagram. In this application, she listed off a few very vague “facts” (most of which being lies) about herself in hopes of becoming Justin Burke’s girlfriend. As you may have guessed, this application was denied by Justin and he may have unfollowed her to add insult to injury. The video is regarded as one of the most embarrassing moments of Tophia lore and it is often quoted today.

Tophia: Hey guys, I’m applying to be Justin Burke’s girlfriend… here’s my application… umm, I’m shooting my shot, so here goes nothing, I guess.
This is him, obviously he has no girlfriend, from what I know of… and yeah, here goes nothing.
some more facts [sic.] to why I would make a good girlfriend is that I love to cook; I have a great personality, I’m 5’3, I’m gonna be 26 in June, I have brown eyes with some blue in them, umm… I love to cook [sic.], I love making videos, I’m Hispanic and Black, I have curly hair, [phone ringtone interrupts Tophia] if you guys can’t tell, and, New Mexico is a great place to hang out, there are lots of fun things we can do, so maybe after quarantine, we can hang out sometime? Umm… so yeah!
