The Slydell Apartment is an apartment complex located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The formal name of the apartment is Villas Esperanza Apartment Complex. This apartment complex is the former residence of the Slydell family. It was the first location in Tophia lore. Under their ownership, the apartment was dirty, unkept, and had green crosses taped to the door and walls, that were placed by papachu. (possibly for mentally ill religious reasons.) Roaches were often seen crawling around the apartment. Shortly before the Slydell's eviction, the apartment was gassed during a swatting event. During this time, Tophia and her mother had to stay in a homeless shelter. According to Angie, the apartment smelled like “piss and shit” due to Hershey.
On February 25, 2023, the Slydell's were evicted due to not paying rent, the Slydells/Tophia claims that they fall under squatter laws but in order for that to take effect, they would have to stay there for ~10 years, yet they have only stayed for ~8 years, as a result, they no longer have ownership of the apartment.
